U.S. 202 North (Dekalb Pike) Closed at Henderson Road in Upper Merion Township Due to Sinkhole

12/14/2023

King of Prussia, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that northbound U.S. 202 (Dekalb Pike) is closed between Henderson Road and Saulin Boulevard in Upper Merion Township, Montgomery County, due to pavement failure.

During the closure, motorists will be directed to use Henderson Road and Saulin Boulevard. Local access will be maintained up to the closure.

Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling near the work area because backups and delays will occur.

Northbound U.S. 202 (Dekalb Pike) between Henderson Road and Saulin Boulevard will remain closed until PennDOT engineers can assess the extent of the new damage and develop a plan to repair and safely reopen the highway.

Motorists can check conditions on more than 40,000 roadway miles, including color-coded winter conditions, by visiting www.511PA.com. 511PA, which is free and available 24 hours a day, provides traffic delay warnings, weather forecasts, traffic speed information and access to more than 1,000 traffic cameras.
