King of Prussia, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that one lane is now open on northbound U.S. 202 (Dekalb Pike) between Henderson Road and Saulin Boulevard in Upper Merion Township, Montgomery County.

The left lane on northbound U.S. 202 (Dekalb Pike) between Henderson Road and Saulin Boulevard will remain closed until pavement repairs can be performed.

Southbound U.S. 202 (Dekalb Pike) between Henderson Road and Saulin Boulevard remains closed for additional sinkhole repair.

This northbound section of U.S. 202 (Dekalb Pike) has been closed since early Thursday morning, December 14, following the discovery of a sinkhole in the right travel lane, just north of Henderson Road. This southbound section of U.S. 202 (Dekalb Pike) has been closed since Friday evening, December 15, following the discovery of a new sinkhole underneath the southbound travel lanes.

During the closure, southbound motorists will be directed to use Saulin Boulevard and Henderson Road. Local access will be maintained for all residents and businesses.

This section of U.S. 202 (Dekalb Pike) will remain closed until PennDOT engineers can further assess the extent of the new damage and develop a plan to fully repair and safely reopen the highway.
