King of Prussia, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that the right lane on U.S. 202 South (Dekalb Pike) was reopened this afternoon between Saulin Boulevard and Henderson Road in King of Prussia, Montgomery County, following sinkhole repairs.

This section of U.S. 202 South (Dekalb Pike) had been closed since Friday, December 15, following the discovery of multiple sinkholes underneath the southbound travel lanes.

The same section of U.S. 202 North (Dekalb Pike) fully reopened to traffic early Tuesday morning, December 19, after the highway was initially closed on Thursday, December 14, following the discovery of a sinkhole in the right travel lane just north of Henderson Road.

PennDOT reopened the right lane on U.S. 202 North (Dekalb Pike) on Saturday, December 16, and reopened the left lane on U.S. 202 North (Dekalb Pike) and U.S. 202 South (Dekalb Pike) on Tuesday, December 19, following repair and paving operations.

PennDOT is investigating and monitoring this section of U.S. 202 (Dekalb Pike) to determine if further subsurface stabilization will need to be performed.
