Sign Installations Planned Next Week on Two State Highways in Chester, Delaware Counties

03/13/2024

King of Prussia, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that sign installations will occur next week on two state highways in Uwchlan Township, Chester County, and Radnor Township, Delaware County, under a project to install lane departure improvements to reduce lane departure-related fatal and serious injury crashes across the five-county Philadelphia region.

Motorists are advised of the following travel restrictions:

Chester County
  • Monday, March 18, through Friday, March 29, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a weekday lane closure is scheduled on Route 113 (Uwchlan Avenue) between Devon Drive and Northwood Drive in Uwchlan Township.
Delaware County
  • Monday, March 18, through Friday, March 29, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a weekday lane closure is scheduled on Bryn Mawr Avenue between Route 320 (Sproul Road) and Darby Paoli Road in Radnor Township.
Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.

Road-Con, Inc. of West Chester, PA, is the general contractor on this $3.5 million project, which is financed with 100 percent federal funds.

Motorists can check conditions on more than 40,000 roadway miles, including color-coded winter conditions, by visiting www.511PA.com. 511PA, which is free and available 24 hours a day, provides traffic delay warnings, weather forecasts, traffic speed information, and access to more than 1,000 traffic cameras.
