St. Joseph’s University Pedestrian Bridge Construction Continues on U.S. 1 (City Avenue) in Philadelphia, Lower Merion Township

​King of Prussia, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that A.P. Construction, Inc. will continue bridge construction of the St. Joseph’s University pedestrian bridge on U.S. 1 (City Avenue) in Philadelphia and Lower Merion Township, Montgomery County.

Motorists are advised of the following travel restrictions:
  • Monday, April 1, through Monday, April 8, a weekday 24/7 right lane closure is scheduled on northbound U.S. 1 (City Avenue) between 59th Street and Lapsley Lane. Work may also take place on Saturday and Sunday if needed by the contractor.  
  • Monday, April 8, through Monday, April 15, a weekday 24/7 left lane closure is scheduled in both directions on U.S. 1 (City Avenue) between 59th Street and Lapsley Lane. Work may also take place on Saturday and Sunday if needed by the contractor. 
Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
