King of Prussia, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that stormwater improvements are planned next week on several state highways in Delaware, Bucks, and Montgomery counties under a $14.9 million project to upgrade stormwater management facilities on more than 90 state highways across the five-county Philadelphia region.
Motorists are advised of the following travel restrictions:
- Monday, April 1, through Friday, April 5, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure is scheduled on Ridge Road between Coopershawk Lane and Pheasant Lane in Chadds Ford Township, Delaware County, for stormwater replacement.
- Monday, April 1, through Friday, April 5, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure is scheduled on Route 332 (Jacksonville Road) between Route 132 (Street Road) and Steamboat Drive in Warminster Township, Bucks County, for stormwater replacement.
- Monday, April 1, through Friday, April 5, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure is scheduled on southbound Bethlehem Pike between Stenton Avenue and Meadowbrook Lane in Springfield Township, Montgomery County, for site investigation.
- Monday, April 8, through Friday, April 26, weekdays from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Ridge Road will be closed between Smithbridge Road and US 202 (Wilmington Pike) in Chadds Ford and Concord townships, Delaware County, for stormwater replacement. During the closure motorists are directed to use Smithbridge Road and U.S. 202 (Wilmington Pike).
Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling through or near the work areas because backups and delays will occur. Local access will be maintained for road closures. The schedule is weather dependent.
Highway Materials, Inc. of Flourtown, Montgomery County, is the general contractor on this project, which is financed with 100 percent state funds.
