Roadway Construction Continues at Night Under Two I-476 Improvement Projects in Delaware, Montgomery Counties

04/04/2024

King of Prussia, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that construction activities will continue at night on Interstate 476 under two separate projects to improve travel and safety on the interstate, the associated on-and-off ramps and bridges in Delaware and Montgomery counties.

Motorists are advised of the following travel restrictions:

Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because significant backups and delays may occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.

The bridge, inlet, and pavement repair are part of a $63.7 million project to resurface, repair and improve nearly 17 miles of the interstate from I-76 (Schuylkill Expressway) in West Conshohocken Borough, Montgomery County, to I-95 in Ridley Township, Delaware County.

The sign structure removal and installation are part of a $16.2 million project to improve travel and safety on MacDade Boulevard and at the northbound I-476 and MacDade Boulevard Interchange in Ridley Township.

Motorists can check conditions on more than 40,000 roadway miles by visiting www.511PA.com. 511PA, which is free and available 24 hours a day, provides traffic delay warnings, weather forecasts, traffic speed information and access to more than 1,000 traffic cameras.
