Resurfacing Scheduled on U.S. 422 East Ramp to Swedesford Road in Tredyffrin Township

04/11/2024

King of Prussia, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that resurfacing is scheduled on the eastbound 422 ramp to Swedesford Road in Tredyffrin Township, as part of a project to repair and resurface 37 miles of state highways in Chester County.

Motorists are advised of the following travel restriction:

Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling near the work area because backups and delays will occur. The schedule is weather dependent.

Under the improvement project, PennDOT is milling the existing roadway surface and repaving the state highways with new asphalt. The new pavement will seal the roadways and provide motorists with a smoother riding surface.

Allan Myers, LP, of Worcester, Montgomery County is the general contractor on the $14.7 million resurfacing project, which is financed with 100 percent state funds.

Motorists can check conditions on more than 40,000 roadway miles by visiting www.511PA.com. 511PA, which is free and available 24 hours a day, provides traffic delay warnings, weather forecasts, traffic speed information and access to more than 1,000 traffic cameras.
