Pedestrian Bridge Construction Scheduled on U.S. 1 (Roosevelt Boulevard) in Bensalem Township, Philadelphia

​King of Prussia, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that Brandywine Byberry, LP will begin pedestrian bridge demolition on U.S. 1 (Roosevelt Boulevard) in Bensalem Township, Bucks County, and Philadelphia, beginning Wednesday, April 17.

Motorists are advised of the following travel restrictions:
  • Wednesday, April 17, through Monday, April 22, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a single lane closure is scheduled on the inside (express) and outside (local) lanes on southbound U.S. 1 (Roosevelt Boulevard) between Comly Road and Old Lincoln Highway.
  • Monday, April 22, a 24-hour lane closure is scheduled on the outside northbound lanes of U.S. 1 (Roosevelt Boulevard) between Comly Road and Old Lincoln Highway.
  • Tuesday, April 23, a 24-hour lane closure is scheduled on the inside northbound lanes of U.S. 1 (Roosevelt Boulevard) between Comly Road and Old Lincoln Highway.
  • Wednesday, April 24, a 24-hour lane closure is scheduled on the inside southbound lanes of U.S. 1 (Roosevelt Boulevard) between Comly Road and Old Lincoln Highway.
  • Thursday, April 25, and Friday, April 26, a 24-hour lane closure is scheduled on the outside southbound lanes of U.S. 1 (Roosevelt Boulevard) between Comly Road and Old Lincoln Highway. 
Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.

Brandywine Byberry, LP will complete these projects under a PennDOT Highway Occupancy Permit.
