SEPTA to Close Route 63 (Main Street) for Rail Improvements in Lansdale Borough

​King of Prussia, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that SEPTA will be performing rail improvements on Route 63 (Main Street) in Lansdale Borough, Montgomery County, beginning Friday, May 17. 

Motorists are advised of the following travel restriction:
  • From 9:00 AM Friday, May 17, to 6:00 PM Monday, May 20, Route 63 (Main Street) will be closed and detoured between Green Street and Railroad Avenue. During the closure, motorists will be directed to use Route 63 (Main Street), Broad Street, Route 463 (Cowpath Road), and Orvilla Road. 
Local access will be maintained up to the work zone. Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling near the work area because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.  

Motorists can check conditions on major roadways by visiting www.511PA.com. 511PA, which is free and available 24 hours a day, provides traffic delay warnings, weather forecasts, traffic speed information, and access to more than 1,000 traffic cameras. 511PA is also available through a smartphone application for iPhone and Android devices, by calling 5-1-1, or by following regional X alerts.
