Bridge Inspections Scheduled on Several State Highways in Philadelphia, Bucks Counties

King of Prussia PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that bridge inspections are scheduled on several state highways in Philadelphia and Bucks County.

Motorists are advised of the following travel restrictions:

  • Monday, April 29, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure is scheduled on Rhawn Street between Holmehurst Avenue and Lexington Avenue in Philadelphia.
  • Monday, April 29, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, a right lane closure is scheduled on southbound Route 309 (Sellersville Bypass) between Route 113 (Main Street) and Bergey Road in Hilltown Township, Bucks County.
  • Monday, April 29, from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM, a right lane closure is scheduled on northbound Route 309 (Sellersville Bypass) between Bergey Road and Route 113 (Main Street) in Hilltown Township, Bucks County.
  • Friday, May 3, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a right lane closure is scheduled on northbound State Road between Rhawn Street and Ashburner Street in Philadelphia.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because slowdowns may occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.

The inspections are part of PennDOT's program to inspect bridges at least once every two years. The inspections ensure the safety and overall condition of the structures.
