05/08/2024

King of Prussia, PA The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that stormwater improvements are planned next week on Boot Road in West Whiteland and West Goshen townships, Chester County, under a $14.9 million project to upgrade stormwater management facilities on more than 90 state highways across the five-county Philadelphia region.

Motorists are advised of the following travel restriction:

Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling near the work area because backups and delays will occur. Local access will be maintained. The schedule is weather dependent.

Highway Materials, Inc. of Flourtown, Montgomery County, is the general contractor on this project, which is financed with 100 percent state funds.

Motorists can check conditions on major roadways by visiting www.511PA.com. 511PA, which is free and available 24 hours a day, provides traffic delay warnings, weather forecasts, traffic speed information, and access to more than 1,000 traffic cameras. 511PA is also available through a smartphone application for iPhone and Android devices, by calling 5-1-1, or by following regional X alerts.
