05/09/2024

King of Prussia, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that the Philadelphia Water Department will be performing water main construction on Frankford Avenue in Philadelphia beginning Monday, May 20.

Motorists are advised of the following travel restriction:
  • Monday, May 20, through Friday, May 31, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Frankford Avenue will be closed and detoured weekdays between Norris Street and Dauphin Street. During the closure, motorists will be directed to use Norris Street, Tulip Street, and York Street.
Local access will be maintained up to the work zone. Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling near the work area because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather-dependent.

Philadelphia Water Department will complete this project under a PennDOT Highway Occupancy Permit.
