The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) today, Monday, July 24, 2023, is reducing the posted weight limit on a bridge that carries Route 1012 (East 10th Street) over Bald Eagle Creek n Tyrone, Blair County.
The posting lowers the weight limit from 36 ton/except combinations, 40 tons to 30-ton/except combinations, 33 tons. This restriction is being implemented in the interest of safety until further notice and will be effective once the signs are posted.
This bridge carries approximately 2,367 vehicles per day.
