Project Overview

The project will include the replacement the West Center Road bridge over Paden Creek in Conneaut Township, Crawford County.

Work will include the removal of the current steel bridge and construction of a new single span, concrete structure, waterproofing, minor asphalt paving near the bridge, as well as updates to the drainage and guiderail. Work is expected to occur during the 2025 construction season.

The bridge is located on West Center Road (Route 4004) just west of its intersection with Beaver Center Road (Route 4001).

On average, approximately 230 vehicles a day use West Center Road. The bridge is rated in poor condition.

Traffic Impacts 

A detour will be required during construction and is expected to be in place for approximately four months. The proposed 5.8-mile detour route will be posted using Beaver Center Road, Route 6, and Partch Road (Route 4006).
