Route 743/Conewago Recreation Trail Improvement Project in Lancaster County to Begin This Week

​Harrisburg, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that a project to improve the Route 743 intersection with the Conewago Recreation Trail in Mount Joy Township, Lancaster County, is scheduled to begin this week. The trail is located just north of Beverly Road near the Dauphin County line.

Weather permitting, work will begin Wednesday, March 27. There will be short term lane shifts on Route 743 between 9:00 PM and 6:00 AM. Rail trail access will be maintained during trail hours throughout construction.

This project consists of traffic signal installation, trail crossing improvements, and other miscellaneous construction at the Route 743 intersection with the Conewago Recreation Trail

Kinsley Construction of York, PA, is the contractor on this $406,600 project. All work is expected to be completed by September 23, 2024.
