04/23/2024

Clearfield, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced that it will reposition the temporary signals along Route 1001 (Farrandsville Road) in Woodward Township, Clinton County, on Thursday, April 25. The project goals are to provide safe pedestrian access to River View Park from the Veteran's Bridge and to make drainage improvements to enhance safety for the motoring public.

On Thursday, the contractor will move the temporary traffic signals approximately 800 feet west of their current location at the intersection of Farrandsville Road and Route 664. The move will enable to the contractor to complete final paving and drainage improvements this spring. PennDOT anticipates work on the project wrapping before the Fourth of July but notes all work is weather dependent.

Overall work on this project includes roadway realignment, utility relocations, drainage improvements, piping and inlets, construction of a retaining wall, sidewalks, curbing, ornamental light poles, guide rail, paving, pavement markings, and miscellaneous items. Clearwater Construction, Inc. of Mercer, PA, is the contractor on this $7.5 million job, which will carry into 2024. All work is weather dependent.
