Portion of Fisher Road to Close Next Week in Monroe Township, Snyder County

Montoursville, PA – Construction continues on the Southern Section of the Central Susquehanna Valley Transportation (CSVT) project in Snyder County.

Fisher Road Closure
Beginning Wednesday, December 6, 2023, Fisher Road will be closed between the intersections with Route 1017 (Park Road) in Monroe Township, Snyder County, while the contractor, Trumbull Corporation, starts excavation work to realign Fisher Road. Local residents will maintain access, but through traffic will be prohibited.

A detour using Park Road, will be in place until the realignment is completed in the spring of 2024.   

Ongoing Work
Earthwork operations continue throughout the project area during both daylight and overnight hours.  Blasting operations will continue during daylight hours and have recently returned to the northern part of the project.

Large earthmoving truck crossings have been constructed at local roads.  Motorists are reminded to use caution when traveling through these work areas, and to obey flaggers controlling traffic. 

Work on the roundabouts near Mill Road continues. Portions of local roadways in this area are anticipated to open in mid-December, weather permitting.
