Embankment Stabilization Project to Begin on Route 87 in Upper Fairfield Township, Lycoming County

Montoursville, PA – Motorists are advised that an embankment stabilization project is set to begin next week on Route 87 in Upper Fairfield Township, Lycoming County.

On Monday, March 25, 2024, the contractor, LTT Trucking, LLC, will begin stabilization work on the embankment along Route 87 between Route 973 (south of the Slabtown Bridge) and north of the Loyalsock Hotel in Loyalsockville. Traffic will not be impacted. After construction, the roadway will return to the original alignment.

LTT Trucking, LLC, is the prime contractor for this $1.1 million embankment stabilization project. Work includes stabilization of the existing embankment using a tangent pile wall. Work on this project is anticipated to be completed in the summer of 2024, weather permitting.

Motorist should be alert, slow down, and drive with caution.
