Bridge Rehabilitation Project to Begin Next Week in Barbours, Plunketts Creek, Lycoming County

Montoursville, PA – Motorists are advised a bridge rehabilitation project is set to begin on Route 1005 in Barbours, Plunketts Creek Township, Lycoming County.

On Tuesday, April 2nd, 2024, the contractor, Rylind Construction, will be placing temporary signals for traffic control for the project. The signals will be set to a flash mode one week, prior to the physical start of the project. Motorists can expect minor delays in relation to temporary signal placement.

Rylind Construction is the prime contractor for this $700,000 resurface and ADA reconstruction project. The work consists of bridge rehabilitation work, milling and resurfacing of existing roadway either side of the structure over Plunketts Creek, pavement markings, and other miscellaneous construction. This project is expected to be completed in late October of 2024, weather permitting.

Motorists should be alert, slow down, expect delays in travel, watch for stopped or slow-moving vehicles, and drive with caution through the work zone.
