Resurfacing Project to Begin on Route 220 SB in Lycoming County

Montoursville, PA – Motorists are advised that a roadway resurfacing project will begin on Route 220 southbound in Porter, Piatt, and Pine Creek townships in Lycoming County.

Starting on Monday May 6, 2024, the contractor, HRI, Inc., will begin preparation work for to repair the bridge decks on the structures carrying Route 220 southbound over the railroad in Piatt Township and Pine Creek in Pine Creek Township, Clinton County. Motorists can expect alternating lane restrictions where work is being performed. Work will be performed Mondays through Fridays between the hours of 7:00 AM and 5:00 PM, weather permitting.

Motorists should be alert, slow down, expect delays in travel and drive with caution.

HRI Inc. is the prime contractor for this $ 3,192,000 resurfacing project. Work includes milling and resurfacing of over four miles of Route 220 southbound between the Route 287 in Piatt Township and Pine Creek in Pine Creek Township, Clinton County, including resurfacing the ramps at the Route 220/Route 44 interchange (Main Street) and Route 3027 interchange (Thomas Street) in Jersey Shore Borough. Additional work includes drainage upgrades, sawing and sealing of asphalt, bridge preservation on several structures, guiderail and concrete barrier upgrades, line painting, and traffic delineators. Work on this project is expected to be completed on in September of 2024.
