​Montoursville, PA – Motorists are advised that a bridge preservation project will continue this week on Route 642 in West Milton, Union County and Milton Borough, Northumberland County.

On Friday, May 10, 2024 at 7:00 PM through Monday, May 13, 2024 at 6:00 AM, Route 642 eastbound will be closed between Route 15 in Union County and Route 642 in Milton Borough, Northumberland County while the contractor, RAM Services of Michigan, continues preservation work on the bridge that carries Route 642 over the West Branch Susquehanna River between West Milton and Milton.

Traffic Impact

• Motorists traveling Route 642 eastbound (West Milton to Milton) will be detoured using Route 15 north, Interstate 80 east, Route 147 south, Route 642.
• Motorists traveling Route 642 westbound (Milton to West Milton) will be maintained in the work zone.
• Weekend detours are to be expected for the next 10 weekends.
  

RAM Services of Michigan is the prime contractor for this $4.3 Million  bridge preservation project. Work on this project includes patching the deck, waterproofing the barriers, preserving the deck with an epoxy overlay, and paving the bridge approaches.
