Reminder: Weekend Closures Planned for Pipe Replacements on River Road (Route 3030) in Manor Township, Lancaster County

03/15/2023

First closure is this weekend, March 17-20

Harrisburg, PA – This is a reminder that the first of three weekend closures planned on a 3-mile resurfacing project on River Road (Route 3030) in Manor Township, Lancaster County, is this weekend. The closures are needed so large pipes can be replaced.

Weather permitting, the first closure will be from 7:00 PM this Friday, March 17, through 5:00 AM Monday, March 20, and will continue during the same hours the following two weekends: March 24-27, and March 31-April 3.

A detour will be in place during the closures using Penn Street (Route 999), Central Manor Road (Route 3017), and Letort Road (Route 3032).

Should inclement weather or other unexpected conditions prevent the contractor from closing the road and replacing a pipe, the following weekend will be used for that pipe, and remaining work will be pushed out to the next weekend or weekends.

Weekly notices will be issued to confirm closures will be in place each weekend.

This project consists of asphalt resurfacing, base repairs, drainage replacement, guiderail updates, line painting, sign updates, and other miscellaneous construction on River Road (Route 3030) from the intersection with Letort Road (Route 3032) to the intersection with Penn Street (Route 999).

This project is expected to be completed by June 30, 2023.

Pennsy Supply, Inc., of Harrisburg is the prime contractor on this $2,986,561 project.
