Work Next Week on Chestnut Street in City of Lebanon, N. Cornwall Township, Lebanon County

​Contractor to perform clearing and grubbing associated multi-use trail project

Harrisburg, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that clearing and grubbing has begun for a multi-use trail construction project along Chestnut Street in the City of Lebanon and North Cornwall Township.

Work will continue next week from just west of 12th Street in the City of Lebanon to S. 22nd Street in North Cornwall Township. Traffic impacts will be minimal. However, motorists may encounter intermittent lane closures under flagging during daylight hours.

This project consists of multi-use trail construction along Chestnut Street between 12th Street and 22nd Street. This work also includes trailhead construction, signal enhancements, ADA ramps, and other miscellaneous construction.

JVI Group, Inc., of York Springs, is the contractor on this $2,171,393 project. Work is expected to be completed by May 9, 2024.
