Pavement Repairs Tomorrow on NB I-81 in Cumberland County

​Harrisburg, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that a PennDOT maintenance crew in Cumberland County is scheduled to perform pavement repairs tomorrow on northbound Interstate 81 at Exit 44 (Allen Road/Route 465) near Carlisle. The pavement was damaged yesterday by a vehicle fire.

Weather permitting, this work will be performed from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM tomorrow, Wednesday, July 19. Work includes milling and paving.

The right (travel) lane will be closed. The ramp from southbound Allen Road to northbound I-81 will be closed at 8:00 AM for staging equipment and will remain closed during repairs..

Motorists should be alert and drive with caution through the work zone.
