01/03/2024

Harrisburg, PA – Motorists in Cumberland County are advised there will be rolling stops Thursday, January 4, on Interstate 81 near Carlisle so a contractor can perform blasting for a UGI substation near the interstate.

Weather permitting, there will be a single blast between 10:00 AM and 2:00 PM Thursday between Exit 52 (Route 11/PA Turnpike) and Exit 49 (Route 641/High Street).

As a safety precaution, there will be rolling stops of up to 10 minutes in both direction of I-81 between Exit 52 and Exit 49.

Motorists should be alert and watch for stopped or slow-moving vehicles.
