Westbound Route 30 traffic to be restricted from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM for paving
Harrisburg, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today there will be a lane restriction this Thursday on the westbound Route 30 (Wrights Ferry) Bridge spanning the Susquehanna River between Hellam Township in York County and Columbia Borough in Lancaster County. The restriction will be in place for paving related to the median barrier project on the bridge.
Weather permitting, the left lane of westbound Route 30 will be closed from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM Thursday, January 11, for paving operations. Due to cold overnight temperatures, this work must be performed during daylight hours.
This work is part of a project that includes improvements to the median barrier and other construction activities.
JD Eckman, Inc., of Atglen, PA is the prime contractor on this $5,247,787 project. Work is expected to be completed by November 2024.
