Resurfacing to Begin on Race Street in Richland Borough and Jackson Township, State Drive in South Lebanon Township, Lebanon County

Harrisburg, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that a resurfacing project is set to begin on Race Street (Route 2012) in Richland Borough and Jackson Township, Lebanon County, and State Drive (Route 2003) in South Lebanon Township, Lebanon County.

Weather permitting, work on both routes is expected to begin Monday, April 1. Work on Race Street is from Main Street in Richland Borough to Norma Lane at the Berks County line in Jackson Township. Work on State Drive is from Zinns Mill Road to Elm Street in South Lebanon Township.

Work on both routes include resurfacing the existing roadway, milling, base replacement, drainage improvements, signing updates, pavement markings, ADA ramp improvements, and other miscellaneous construction.

Lanes will be shifted to maintain travel in all directions, however short-term flagging operations may be needed.

This project is expected to be completed by July 26, 2024.

JVI Group, Inc., of York Springs is the contractor on this $3,993,592 project.
