Districtwide Line Painting to Begin Next Week

Harrisburg, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that a districtwide line painting project is expected to begin next week. This project includes painting pavement markings on various routes in PennDOT District 8.

Weather permitting, work will begin Monday, April 15. This will be a mobile operation on the following routes in the District 8 region consisting of Adams, Cumberland, Dauphin, Franklin, Lancaster, Lebanon, Perry and York counties:

Adams County:  Route 15 and Route 30.
Cumberland County: Route 11, Route 15, Interstate 81, Interstate 83, Route 581, Route 1010 (Carlisle Pike/Market Street) and Route 1027 (Front Street).
Dauphin County: Route 11, Route 22, Interstate 81, Interstate 83, Interstate 283, Route 283, Route 322, Route 422, and Route 3032 (Airport Connector Road).
Franklin County: Route 11, Route 30 and Interstate 81
Lancaster County: Route 10, Route 23, Route 30, Route 41, Route 72, Route 222, Route 283, Route 322, Route 462, Route 1002 (Orange Street/Riverside Avenue), Route 1012 Liberty Street), Route 1063 (New Holland Pike/New Holland Avenue), Route 2041 (Duke Street), and Route 4042 (York Road/Chester Road).
Lebanon County: Route 22, Interstate78, Interstate 81, Route 322 and Route 422
Perry County: Route 11, Route 22 and Route 104. 
York County: Route 15, Route 24, Route 30, Interstate 83, Route 116, Route 124, Route 462, and Route 4048 (Muddy Creek Forks Road).

Motorists should be alert and watch for slow moving vehicles.

All work is expected to be completed by November 22, 2024.

Alpha Space Control, LLC, of Chambersburg is the contractor on this $1,564,295 project.
