Inspection Planned on I-81 Bridges Over Route 11 at Exit 52 in Middlesex Township, Cumberland County

​Harrisburg, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that a contractor is scheduled to inspect the Interstate 81 bridges spanning Route 11 at Exit 52 in Middlesex Township, Cumberland County, this week. Lane restrictions will be in place in both directions of Route 11 on Wednesday and Thursday.

Weather permitting, the northbound and southbound I-81 bridges will be inspected from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM Wednesday, April 24, and Thursday, April 25. Alternating left and right lane closures will be in place on northbound and southbound Route 11.

Travelers are reminded to be alert for these operations, to obey work zone signs, and to use caution when driving through work zones for their safety, as well as for the safety of the road crews.
