Route 2009-DF4 Pipe Replacement Project
Project Overview
The purpose of the project is to replace the existing structure that carries two lanes of traffic on Route 2009 (Raymondskill Road) over Tributary to Sawkill Creek in Dingman Township, Pike County. The existing structure consists of one 60" diameter corrugated metal pipe. This project also includes approximately 50' of roadway approach work along Route 2009 to allow for smooth transitions and structure construction while a detour is in place.
The proposed alternative is a 63"x87" corrugated aluminum alloy pipe arch. This alternative matches the existing stream width in the project area and provides a hydraulic opening sufficient to pass PennDOT and DEP design storms without increasing 100-year water surface elevations. A structure roadway width of 22 feet is proposed (two 11-foot lanes).
The roadway at the bridge site will be closed to all traffic and detoured during construction and is expected to be closed for approximately one month. Beginning north of the project area, the vehicle detour will follow Route 6 west and Route 1009 southbound, resulting in a 5-mile vehicle detour. Beginning south of the project area, the vehicle detour will follow Route 1009 north and Route 6 eastbound resulting in a 5-mile vehicle detour.
The project is currently in design and is planned to be let in September 2024. Construction work is anticipated to take place in the Spring of 2025.

Public Meeting and Plans Display
Public plans display and project presentation will take place at:

- Location: Dingman Township Municipal Building located at 118 Fisher Lane, Milford, PA 18337
The purpose of the plans display is to introduce the project, display and describe how traffic will be maintained during construction, and receive public input regarding the proposed improvements. Project information flyers and comment forms will be available at the Township office and on the project webpage.
The plans display will be available online prior to the meeting as well as in person during the meeting. Paper copies of the comment form will be available on-site and can be left at the facility or returned by mail once completed. Those unable to access the plans display and comment form online or in person may give feedback by contacting Carmen DiPietro Jr., E.I.T. PennDOT Project Manager, at 570-963-4057 or cadipietro@pa.gov.
The public is encouraged to respond to the public questionnaire and provide comments by clicking on the Public Questionnaire to print a PDF questionnaire to be completed by hand and mailed to the address at the bottom of the form. The comment period will range from July 18 to August 2.
Traffic Control
Beginning north of the project area, the vehicle detour will follow Route 6 west and Frenchtown Road (SR 1009) south, resulting in a 5-mile vehicle detour.
