Event Overview

The event will provide a unique opportunity for PennDOT employees, local government representatives, and other transportation partners and stakeholders to collaborate with colleagues across Pennsylvania to learn about, share and discuss transportation innovations being developed and used at the state and local levels. 

The virtual event will consist of three days with two concurrent sessions in the morning and afternoon of each day, and a facilitated Q&A discussion during each session. The event also includes a Virtual Exhibit Hall showcasing homegrown, innovative equipment, materials, applications, and technologies.


What topics will be covered?

Watch virtual presentations focused on topics including:  

  • Making Roadways and Bridges Last 
  • Technology and Digital Project Delivery 
  • Maintenance Equipment, Techniques and Materials 
  • Enhanced Design and Construction Approaches 
  • Multimodal Transportation Planning 
  • Tools to Reduce Traffic Congestion and Enhance Safety 

Who should attend?

This event focuses on innovation implementation and use at the state and local levels. It's best suited for: 

  • PennDOT Employees 
  • Pennsylvania Turnpike Employees 
  • Municipal Government Representatives 
  • Local Planning Partner Representatives 
  • Public Transportation Agency Representatives 
  • Other Transportation Advocacy Representatives 

This may include highway or bridge engineers, public works or roadway maintenance staff, traffic and operations staff, public transportation or multimodal staff, and others transportation partners and stakeholders.

How to attend?

Participants must register to attend. Registration will be available in the coming weeks. You'll receive emails with event information, the agenda for the week, important links, tips for using the virtual platform, and other information at the email address you used to register for the event. The Virtual Exhibit Hall  is available now; registration to view exhibits is not required.

The Virtual Exhibit Hall is an opportunity to learn more about specific innovations. Browse the exhibit hall, which features videos, fact sheets, brochures, posters and more, all of which are available for download. You can also connect with any exhibitor to get more information and to discuss the innovation with experts.

What does "Virtual" mean?

All presentation sessions will be held virtually via WebEx. You can tune in from anywhere using any internet-enabled device, such as a laptop, smartphone or tablet.   

The ability to host the event virtually allows us to expand participation from across Pennsylvania and offer sessions over the course of several days, making them more accessible to attendees.
