9 PM UPDATE: Roads Impacted by Flooding, Downed Trees or Utilities in North Central Pennsylvania

Montoursville, PA – Motorists in north central Pennsylvania are advised the following roads in the area (listed by county) are closed or have a lane restriction due to flooding, downed trees or utilities. Updates will be sent periodically.

Columbia

  • Route 4041 (Rohrsburg Road) between Neyhart Road and Green Creek Road in Orange Township, for flooding.
  • Route 2008 (Mountain Road) between Brass School Road and Poor House Road in Locust Township, for downed utilities.

Lycoming

  • (OPEN) Route 87 between Route 973 and Route 1007 (Dunwoody Road) in Barbours in Upper Fairfield and Plunketts Creek townships, due to downed trees and utilities.

Montour

  • Route 3010 (Steckermill Road) between Narehood Road and Route 54 in Derry and Liberty townships, for flooding.
  • Route 1004 (Arrowhead Road) between Continental Boulevard and PP and L Road in Anthony Township, for flooding.  

Northumberland

  • Route 4004 (Fourth Street) between Shikellamy Avenue and Mt. Pleasant Road in Upper Augusta Township, for flooding.
  • Route 61 (Hamilton Underpass) between Highland Avenue in Sunbury and Green Street in Upper Augusta Township, for flooding.
  • Route 1030 (Shakespeare Road) between Hobbes Road and Route 45 in East Chillisquaque Township, for flooding.
  • Route 1005 (Seagrave Drive) between Route 54 and Shreck Road in Delaware Township, for flooding.

Snyder

  • Route 2009 (Middle Creek Road) between Route 2017 (South Market Street) and Bake Oven Hill Road in Penn and Union townships for flooding.
  • Route 3007 (Iron Bridge Road) between Route 3008 (Paxtonville Road) and Meadowview Lane in Franklin Township, for flooding.

Union

  • Route 1003 (Hoffa Mill Road) between Route 192 and Col. John Kelly Road in Buffalo and Kelly townships, for flooding.
  • Route 1001 (Johnson Mill Road) between Route 192 and Col. John Kelly Road in Buffalo Township, for flooding.
  • Route 3003 (Millmont) between Stover Road and Creek Road in Lewis Township, for flooding.
  • Route 3004 (Creek Road) between Libby Road and Shirk Road in Lewis Township, for flooding.
  • Route 3003 (8th Street) between Route 3003 (Valley Road) and Route 45 in Mifflinburg Borough, for flooding.
  • Route 2001 (Beaver Run Road) between Route 192 and Route 1001 (Johnson Mill Road) in Buffalo Township, for flooding.

PennDOT cautions motorists to never drive through flooded roadways, as it takes just two feet of fast-moving water to float a car. Anyone who drives around barriers intended to close a road can face increased penalties if emergency responders are called to rescue motorists who disregard traffic control signs.

Motorists can check conditions on major roadways by visiting www.511PA.com. 511PA, which is free and available 24 hours a day, provides traffic delay warnings, weather forecasts, traffic speed information and access to more than 1,000 traffic cameras. 511PA is also available through a smartphone application for iPhone and Android devices, by calling 5-1-1, or by following local alerts on X.
